Side events

Throughout the annual meeting a number of side events are open all participants and (free of charge). Registration to side events are made when registering online to the annual meeting. Accompanying persons are welcome to join the side events and evening activities.

Sunday 18th

Annual meeting opening reception - The Pathways warmer

The official opening of The AGS annual meeting 2007 were participants meet and greet. It is held in the UPC Vèrtex building where also the full meeting take place. Light food and drinks will be served.

Monday 19th

Side event - Barcelona Technical Innovation Center

Welcome to participate in a presentation of the Barcelona Technical Innovation Center. The presentation takes place in the Vèrtex building Auditorium. Light meal will be served.

Tuesday 20th

Side event - The Barcelona Supercomputing Center

Join an exclusive tour of the most powerful supercomputer in Europe located at UPC. With 10.240 processors and a final calculation capacity of 94.21 Teraflops (94.21 trillions of operations per second) Mare Nostrum is the the fifth most powerful supercomputer in the world. For security reasons a maximum of 30 people at a time can join the tour. Bring your passport or spanish ID-card to the visit.

Side event - The UPC Campus Tour

Get to know the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). The tour takes you to key places around campus and provides an historical background as well as highlights of ongoing research and education activities.

Dinner party - The Pathways Celebration

Enjoy discussions on the pathways progression with AGS friends in Catalonian style by the harbour. Directions and metro tickets will be provided to all participants. Meeting points are announced for those who wants to travel in a group.
